Opportunity

Project Summary

In 2010 we were still evolving digitally in terms of banner advertisements, landing pages, interactive graphics and more. Flash and fireworks were still widely popular software platforms to design and edit these motion graphics. During annual membership campaigns for the Newman Center we would design a family of marketing collateral including static web banner ads and flash motion gifs. Each performance and artist or group was different and each design was tailored to that specific event. The posters, newspaper ads, membership brochure catalog and banner ads all replicated a parent design but the actual event marketing for each artist was allowed to be unique. I had the opportunity to create related pieces for each artist including web banner ads and flashes to advertise the date and ticket sales.

Approach

Once the annual membership campaign design was established we executed all related collateral under the family tree including individual event promotional materials. I would conceptualize unique designs for each artist or group to help convey their vibe and performance through the promotional poster. From there I would replicate the design aesthetics in other collateral including the banners and motion gifs. These were then used in printed publications, environmental street pole displays, online web ads and other promotional avenues to market the events and partnerships.

Solution

The completed designs were a harmonious family tree of visuals promoting annual performances and events through animated motion banners, environmental displays, membership catalogs, posters and more. These designs helped boost revenue and increase membership through event and partnership awarenesses across various platforms and mediums.

Impact

A cohesively designed suite of marketing collateral across diverse platforms and mediums to leverage visual awareness to help drive revenue and growth. The annual campaigns were collaborative with membership pledges to help support and grow the organization through patronage of the arts.
